neutral7 updates Cabana Beach signage!

Check out the new colorful signage at Cabana Beach in Gainesville! neutral7 recently updated both the directional sign and the monument sign for Cabana Beach apartments.

This is a large complex so the first step was so update the directional sign to be easily read. We developed a system using the bright colors of the Cabana Beach identity to separate out the "beaches" or locations in the property. This was the perfect way to point drivers in the right direction. We even used their existing posts to mount the new MaxMetal sign faces to, so installation was a breeze.

We also had the chance to update their monument sign at the entrance to their complex for a fresh, modern look. This sign is seen by everyone who drives by so it had to be eye-catching. Our design included a structure that would frame the Cabana Beach logo and act as a lightbox to be illuminated at night.

neutral7 design group has just completed the branding for the Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association.

The Mission:
The Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association works towards the focused goal of improving the quality of life of our members and our community. We do this through leadership development, collaboration and active community involvement.

To capture the Four Cornerstones of the LGAA, neutral7 developed a 4-pointed arrow theme using four colors that represent the councils of the organization: Green, Yellow, Blue and Red.

Neutral7 Completes Identity for Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida!

Neutral7 has just completed the new identity and logo for the Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida! Check out their new logo!

The Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida (NCNCF) was founded in 2010 by the two members of NCNCF’s management team and Leadership Gainesville Class 36. The impetus of the creation of a nonprofit resource center in Gainesville, Florida came from the Leadership Gainesville 36 class, an annual program conducted by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. The class, comprised of 38 business leaders from Alachua County, collectively envisioned an opportunity to strengthen and support the region’s nonprofit sector through a consortium of resources.

The management team, comprised of Christopher Johnson and Kari Brill, conducted the research and development phase for the establishment of the NCNCF. The two individuals examined nonprofit resource centers located in the state of Florida and throughout the United States. Johnson and Brill also met with key community members in Alachua County and contiguous counties to better understand how a nonprofit center would benefit the North Central Florida region. NCNCF will gain a complete understanding of the nonprofit landscape once additional primary research is completed via a survey and State of the Sector Report.

The organization will be tasked with the responsibility of facilitating collaboration amongst nonprofits, creating open lines of communication, reducing duplication of efforts and enhancing public understanding of the nonprofit sector.

The Nonprofit Center’s objective is to provide the tools necessary for nonprofits to succeed and fulfill their mission. As a result, improving the lives of people in our community. Through research of our nonprofit sector we provide services specific to our nonprofit community. The support offered includes programming, workshops, seminars, business resources, consultation and networking opportunities.

The new logo, (designed by Albert Coronel himself!), was designed in a circle to represent inclusion and support. The multi-color aspect represents the diversity of Gainesville as well as the organizations it serves. Including multiple colors is an additional statement of inclusion. The NCNCF is here for support so leaves were chosen to represent opportunity for growth for all the organizations serviced; brand new, midsized and large established groups. For a local personalization, the leaves are designed to represent a north central Florida native plant species.

The Cade Museum Foundation has announced its second annual Cade Prize for Innovation to recognize and encourage Florida's innovators and entrepreneurs. The Prize comes with $50,000 and a spot in the Gainesville Technology Enterprise Center. The goal of the competition is to strengthen and develop the long-standing culture of innovation in Gainesville and throughout Florida, and to harness the tremendous job-creating potential of the numerous ideas springing forth from this region every day. Applicants from Florida are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Dec. 31. The winner will be announced on Cade Prize Night; a gala event on May 12, 2011. Gainesville Fashion Week 20eleven: FASHION – ART – MUSIC – CULTURE – FOR ALL. Since the logo was leaked last week by an anonymous source, we decided to unveil the new logo earlier than planned. The theme for next year's event is celebrity glam. We are also going the extra mile to extend the message that GFW is not just for fashion and fashionistas but an event that promises to have something for everyone. The color palette is limited compared to the multi color logos from previous years, but it's not any quieter! We are using basic black and white and the less than subtle colors, fuchsia and shiny gold. Less colors, but louder for sure! In the marketing materials to come, we will be following the trend that has been working great in the recent neutral7 branding: oversized yet simple messages

The Gift of Art

The NASCAR Foundation and The V Foundation for Cancer Research announced a gift of $500,000 to Shands Children's Hospital at the University of Florida on Thursday, July 1st to support the renovation of a new pediatric oncology unit.

The donation will go toward the new 18-bed in-patient unit that will see approximately 14 pediatric patients a day, plus an estimated 130 oncology patients, 30 bone-marrow-transplant patients, 15 solid-organ-transplant patients, 30 rheumatology/ immunology patients and 50 sickle cell patients per year.

The new unit is designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment and specialized nursing, promising new medications and cellular therapies to children who have relapsed through clinical trials.

This gift, of $250,000 from the NASCAR Foundation, is the single largest that they have ever made to a pediatric oncology unit. Nick Valvano, of the V Foundation, said the collaborative effort, as well as providing funding for a renovation instead of research, is a first for their organization. The two teams joined together for this project with one motto: “One Team, One Cause.”

neutral7 had the opportunity to be a part of this great cause by printing large temporary banners as well as temporary walls with TV screens that will serve as a display of the exciting renovations to come until the work is complete.Using Auto CAD files and acrylic samples we designed the banners and walls to look as much like the finished product will as possible. We also designed and produced acrylic plaques, large magnets and vinyl stickers for this event. It was a huge project with very tight deadlines but we appreciate the opportunity and very much enjoyed working with the wonderful staff at Shands.

Check out the TV wall. This one is a hit with all who pass through this hall and Shands hopes to make it a permanent feature.

Here are the 24" x 48" magnets on the nurse's station.

These temporary banners will hang in place until the acrylic walls are installed. They feature all of the logos and designs that the finished product will hold.

Albert has been developing the idea of a non-profit organization benefiting the youth and the arts in our community since last year. With a little help from our interns, Alex and Becca, we are finally ready to launch this great organization.

Rocket for the Arts aims to enhance the lives of our community's youth by building awareness of the need for quality art programs.

Check out this new acrylic sign n7 made for our friends at Lightspeed Solutions and Optima Neuroscience.

They recently moved into CMC's old building and wanted a sign made to fit the existing space. Since the mounting holes were already in place in the current wall, all we had to do was make a new sign to match! Lightspeed and Optima share the building and this was a great way to visualize both companies in one ascetically pleasing way.

If you get a chance to take a closer look at the sign we think you'll be surprised. The metallic vinyl lettering is actually flat. We added black vinyl letters to the back of the sign to give it the illusion of dimension.

We just love the way this sign came out and can't wait to do more great acrylic signs in the future!

Here's a clever way to create a realistic environment in a model home.

The Crossing at Santa Fe model apartment is actually built off their leasing office. A convenient way to show prospective renters everything this complex has to offer without a far walk. However, they wanted to give it a realistic setting with an expansive view and for such challenge they turn to neutral7. The solution: a photo shoot, composing a design with a beautiful sky and printing something big: Wall Paper!

neutral7 wanted to create a setting that would mimic what one would see if they actually lived at the Crossing. For the photography we contacted our talented friend Stephanie Carpenter from Vivo Capture.

We also created natural lighting and sky effects to enhance this space.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the new Food Court doors at the Oaks Mall, check out our latest images from this n7 project!

We used a perforated vinyl to cover the doors to the Food Court. We had to do the installation after hours so the sliding doors would not repeatedly open and close and no shoppers would be disturbed.

We just love these colorful graphics for Gainesville Place. But the coolest part is on the inside. You can see right through to the parking lot with little obstruction!

You can check out these graphics all month during your next visit to the mall. We can’t wait to print our next big project!

neutral7's identity gets Loud!

As a few of you may have noticed, the neutral7 branding has undergone a minor face-lift. Evolving with the technological revolution in Gainesville and worldwide, the new logo, n7 2.0, only has a few minor but significant changes. Although the original logo had great response, we believed it was a bit too quiet.

“Before, neutral7 used to get lost in the logo soups of marketing sponsorships. It was too subtle and would get washed out among the various advertising channels.” –Albert Coronel, neutral7 Creative Director and Founder.

We decided to turn the type from green to black, which says "we're here" loudly! We also made a leap from Arial to Helvetica and increased the size of the "7". The most noticeable change to an untrained eye is the new icon with a glossy dimensional core, which showcases Javier's talents in transforming the section into a 100% vector image. For general branding we are embracing the simple "call out" shapes throughout our advertising, marketing, collateral materials, and our website. We are also going from using two green colors to a single green, slowly facing out Pantone376 to solely Pantone390. The logo was redesigned by Albert and the new ID manual, business card and additional materials were designed by UF design student Cat Dunn. A true collaboration of great talents!

The 1st Annual Cade Prize for Innovation

The Cade Prize for Innovation is an annual competition sponsored by the Cade Museum to recognize and promote Florida innovators.

On June 11, the first annual Cade Prize for Innovation was awarded to the Tutor Matching Service team, a new company that matches students and teachers based on learning and teaching styles. The award consists of a $50,000 cash prize, funded through a generous grant from the Gainesville Community Foundation, plus one year of in-kind support provided by the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce and access to the Gainesville Technology Enterprise Center (GTEC) and its programs.

Signs and Sustainability - UF Solar Decathlon Europe

Neutral 7 in Spain?

That's right! Neutral7 has had the opportunity to build site signs to be featured in the University of Florida Department of Interior Design and Construction's energy-generating house for the Solar Decathlon Europe Competition. The acrylic signs will be featured in the home and detail the 10 ways (hence "decathlon") the house uses technology to achieve maximum energy efficiency in these areas: architecture, engineering, solar systems, electrical energy balance, comfort conditions, appliances, communications/social awareness, market viability, innovation and sustainability.

Here's the catch, the house was shipped to Spain, this years host of the competition! So as we prepare the signs for their journey, check out this article from USA Today about this innovative competiton! Good luck UF!

Leadership Gainesville Graduates New Class!

Gainesville welcomed new leaders to its ranks last month.

Leadership Gainesville graduated Class 36 May 19 a ceremony at the Sweetwater Branch Inn. The 38 members of this class participated in a 10-month program to learn about Gainesville, from industry to agriculture. Many found the sessions to be eye-opening experiences.

Matt Davis, COO of North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC), saw a need he could help fill after attending the Social Services session. He met with Frances Leslie from Gainesville Harvest and began donating the hospital’s leftover food. NFRMC has donated every day since.

Frances returned the favor by showing Matt how he could improve the food offerings in a healthy way. He re-vamped the diet at the hospital and offers discounts to people who buy heart-healthy meals. Lindsay Kreig, March of Dimes, Christine Evans, LifeSouth, and Timothy Hayes, Gainesville Fire Rescue, all felt the pull of the hungry and homeless as well. They have each vowed to volunteer time at food drives and the St. Francis House.

Each member of the class shadowed a physician, a police officer and a teacher during the program. The education session resonated with several of the participants. Mark Hall of Input Ladder plans to advocate for more education-based initiatives. Kevin Ireland of Broad Beach Media said the information he learned in the session drove him to research programs that prepare high school students for careers after graduation. Some classmates discovered that they could use their expertise to give back to the community. Brandon Tinckham of PPI Construction Management decided to work with apprenticeship programs for the construction industry.

Leadership Gainesville is an annual Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce program designed to educate and inspire future leaders to take action within their own community. Program director Jan Patterson defines LG as a community effort.

“This is a different Leadership Development program than most professionals participate in because it’s not about personal development. It’s about community development and the connections are for a lifetime,” she said.

The program not only inspires members to give back, but it also introduces them to opportunities in the community. FloridaWorks spoke to the class during the Economic Development Session about the Florida Back to Work Program, and Kara Sutton of Sutton Family Homes hired a new employee through the program. Both Jackie Price of Haven Hospice and Vinnie Moreschi of Charles Perry Construction decided to get involved with Junior Achievement after learning about the organization through Leadership Gainesville.

At the final session, the class summed up what they learned through the experience.

“We are stronger together. We are diverse but connected. If it is to be, it is up to us. We have a responsibility to do something with what we have learned.”

Jan Patterson described the group by saying, “LG 36 will forever be a driving force in the Gainesville Community to ensure that folks do not go hungry, they have good jobs, and they have a place to stay called home.” The class discovered sides of the community that were new to them. Now, they will take their new knowledge and lead by example, and the community will be richer for it.

Harvest of Hope Foundation Considered for $250,000 Grant!

The Pepsi Refresh Everything Project has accepted the Harvest of Hope Foundation application for consideration of a $250,000 grant in support of migrant farmworkers.

Located in Gainesville, Florida, the Harvest of Hope Foundation is a unique grass roots non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that has been providing migrant farmworkers and their families with emergency assistance, economic hardship relief, and educational scholarships for over 15 years.

As of June 1, 2010 the Harvest of Hope Foundation has distributed over $809,000 to migrant farmworkers, seasonal farmworkers and their families for severe or life threatening situations.The Foundation's services include, but are not limited to emergency: healthcare assistance, housing and transportation assistance, educational grants and scholarships, monthly expenses, replacement clothing, and financial aid to migrant farmworkers and seasonal farmworkers throughout the United States.

The Harvest of Hope Foundation firmly believe that factors such as limited cultural capital, lack of political power, poverty, and frequent mobility operate as barriers that continuously prevent migrant farmworkers and seasonal farmworkers from obtaining legitimate legal rights, education, healthcare and social services. Therefore, it is the Harvest of Hope Foundation's intention to be a proactive voice and leader in providing emergency services to migrant farmworkers and their families.

The Pepsi Refresh Everything Grant would be the largest donation in the 13 year history of the Harvest of Hope Foundation. It would greatly strengthen the foundations ability to provide needed educational and emergency financial aid to migrant farmworkers and families across the country while significantly increasing the foundations endowment and future sustainability.

Tobacco Free Alachua is the predominant community advocate for tobacco-free policies in Alachua County. Specifically, for the establishment of policies which:

Decrease exposure to secondhand smoke (make more places smoke-free/tobacco-free-promote citizen's rights to not have to breath secondhand smoke)
Promote Cessation (help people quit using tobacco)
Reduce the tobacco industry's influence in our community

Hello!

We had a great time at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase yesterday at the Phillips Center! We loved walking around to all the exhibits and sharing valuable info with our peers.

Our goal was to make a big impact, and BIG is what we did! After moving our table to a more accommodating location (our 10 ft tall banner didn’t fit in the room!) we finally set up with all our wonderfully green glory.

Check out Albey, Tiffany and our lovely n7 girls sporting our colors! Scarves complements of Tiffany.

The showcase was also a chance to unveil our life size Albey and Tiffany cartoons! If anyone got a chance to take pictures with these amazing representations of our beloved leaders please send them our way!

Chrissy Graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Advertising in 2009 and is currently in her second year in the SFC Graphic Design Program. Chrissy loves clean fonts, good food and the occasional line dance. We think she's just fantastic! Adfed of Gainesville celebrated the 2010 Addy Award Gala this past Friday. These awards honor the best in local advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. Awarded by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY® Awardsare the nation's largest advertising competition — over 60,000 entries. Local entries are judged by a distinguished panel of advertising creatives from outside our market. Local winners proceed to the District and, potentially, to National competitions. This year, neutral7 took home 2 silver, 4 gold and the Best of Show awards for both print and web!

I am extremely proud of my team for this achievement two years in a row! I want to thank them for all their hard work and creativity throughout 2009: Tiffany, Javier, Jim, Mathew, Emily, Jimbo and James... you guys rock! I want to thank the Addy's committee for working so hard in putting this wonderful event together. I also want to thank and congratulate our Adfed peers who also won Friday night. On Thursday January 28th, Albert, Tiffany and some of our dear friends attended the 2010 Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and dinner. The event took place at the RD Air Services hanger at the Gainesville Regional Airport and was put together by the Chamber and Keith Watson Productions. The attire was black tie optional and so everyone was donning their finest duds!
During the event, Innovation Gainesville a "community-wide initiative to transform our local economy and make Gainesville a leader in emerging technologies" was unveiled to the attendees. neutral7 unveils the identity design for the upcoming event: Destination Gainesville Fashion Week 2010. The new GFW2010 committee met last Friday and one of the things in the agenda was to finalize the new ID between different concepts. This year the event is welcoming talent and guests from different places around the country and for one week, Gainesville will be the destination to consider! As a result, for this 3rd annual event our theme is dedicated to air travel in style!

The new color scheme is intended to be similar to last year's spring event. Since this is a brand new ID, we wanted for previous attendees and participants to make the connection between the two. GFW2010 will be a series of events in multiple venues throughout Gainesville focusing on culture, fashion, design, art, music and food in our great community. A Match for the Stars!

On Friday October 23rd the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central Florida in Gainesville will be hosting their first ever date auction titled: A Match for the Stars. The event will take place at one of neutral7's favorite places, Sharab Lounge!
When we learned about the event both Albert and Tiffany knew that they had to be involved. Initially they planned to take part and help out doing what they do best, working behind the scenes to plan a fabulous event, and assist with design and marketing materials. Somehow or other along the way they managed to get talked into actually participating in the auction itself as a "bachelor" and "bachelorette" though.

For Albert Coronel, success means staying ahead of the curve. The owner of Neutral7 Design Group, the first Gainesville business serving both as a design agency and sign production facility, Coronel, 30, is always on the lookout for ways to integrate new technology into his business. “You have to keep an open mind,” Coronel said. “Welcome technology. It can be intimidating, but once you figure it out, it is super easy. You always need to be looking ahead, willing to change and stay with the times.”

Coronel started Neutral7 in April 2007. It’s named for his preference for clean and efficient neutral design. The one-stop brand-management shop is especially appealing to small businesses that can’t afford to enlist several agencies. Coronel started in the sign industry while in high school in Los Angeles and, after getting a degree in graphic design, worked with design agencies. But after becoming “sick of” the Los Angeles commute, he decided to take a job that required him to relocate to Gainesville, where he eventually fulfilled his desire to start his own agency. With a staff of six, Neutral7 now serves more than 300 clients, including Delta Airlines, Saturn, Cox Media and Ben & Jerry’s, and usually works with 40 active clients at any given time. During the past year alone, business has taken off with a 200-percent increase in billings.

Along with the financial success has come critical praise. Neutral7 earned two silver and two gold ADDY’s from the Advertising Federation of Gainesville, along with the group’s 2009 Best of Show in print advertising for its design of the Rolls ‘N Bowls restaurant menus. To help market his business, Coronel reaches out to the community. For example, he created a program for the Alachua County Emerging Leaders, donating signs for kickball tournament, and he sponsored the Harvest of Hope Festival. For the first-ever Gainesville Fashion Week, the agency designed and put together marketing materials for the event and created marketing packages for all of the fashion designers. “You have to put yourself out there,” Coronel says. “You can’t rely 100 percent on advertising. Go out and meet people and get involved in the community.”

The identity, and main designs were created by Leo Burnett a worldwide design company who choose a non profit yearly who's identity and branding they review and update free of charge. It has been an honor to work with such a renowned company and we made sure to hold to their original concepts and branding when laying out and producing the materials for the Humane Society.

Natural Elements Show's ACEL how to paint!

On Saturday April 4th Natural Elements Painting teamed with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gainesville to host the second ever Show ACEL. As a painting company Natural Elements decided what a better way to teach ACEL members about painting then to actually show them how to paint! The BBBS offices were in need of a little redecorating and so they generously offered up their walls to our eager member's brushes!
After enjoying some coffee and treats donated by Bourbon St. Coffee Company everyone was ready to get their paint on and boy did we ever! The entire interior was primed and 1 1/2 rooms were fully painted during the first session of the day (9am-12pm). The remainder of the painting was completed during the second session (1pm-3pm).
Congrats to everyone on a job well done!

Gainesville Fashion Week 09

March is almost over and I haven’t been able to share my experience with Gainesville Fashion Week 09. I want to start by saying that at its peak, it was one of the most demanding and challenging weeks the team at neutral7 has ever gone through. I want to give props to my staff for hanging in there and making sure every detail got attention to and for everything to get delivered on time without any compromises. Tiffany, Javier and James were the biggest stars of the week!

Participating in this event is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It was truly a melting pot of extraordinary talent. Designers, artists, stylists, photographers, musicians, journalists, models, dj’s, businesses and promoters all working together to make a statement; the creative community is alive and kicking in Gainesville. I want to thank Gustavo Bonet for his vision and leadership as well as Sharab and their staff for literally providing a platform for all of this to be possible. The best part of this is that I have established amazing relationships and friendships with the people involved, it’s like we’ve become a big family. May sound cliché but this is truly priceless. Below are some of the materials we created and knocked-out in record time for the event. Most of the items below were designed, printed, produced and in some cases installed within a few weeks time. This is in addition to neutral7’s projects list, it may explain why we almost lost it! Enjoy.

Neutral7 sponsors the Harvest of Hope Festival

Neutral7 is proud and honored to sponsor this year's Harvest of Hope Festival. The event will take place March 6th-8th, 2009 at St. John's County Fairgrounds- St. Augustine, Florida. This a three day, multiple stage alternative music festival all to benefit and raise awareness for Harvest of Hope, a non-profit organization that provides financial, educational, and service oriented aid to migrant farm workers all over the country. The event emphasizes the focus on being family friendly as well as environmentally friendly. showcase not only a large group of musicians who are donating their time and performances to the cause but will also showcase a variety of art shows and films from progressive artists from around the country, non-profits, local businesses and progressive organizations. Most importantly, the festival will be focused on raising funds and awareness for the Harvest of Hope foundation.

The Harvest of Hope foundation was established in 1997 to raise funds exclusively for migrant farm worker individuals and families. The foundation has distributed over $685,000 to migrant farm workers and families around the country for repairs to vehicles, housing, utilities, medical services and bills, food, clothing, funeral expenses and tuition for migrant students attending college. In addition, the Foundation has issued small grants to migrant-related support service organizations.

Federal, state and other public aid to migrant farm workers has become increasingly restrictive, and, in many cases, not available at all. The Harvest of Hope foundation has been called upon to fill in the gaps in service to this most hard working and deserving, yet needy group of laborers.

The first 1oz runway show a great success!

After a few years missing in action, Albey brings back his 1oz label. This time it kicked off with a bang as part of the Gainesville Fashion Week 09. The team at neutral7 has done an amazing job in the last few months putting everything together from planning, developing, designing and producing the marketing image for GFW 09 as well as for the participating designers and boutiques. And if this wasn’t enough the n7 team participated as a featured designer in the event with Albey’s 1oz line.
The theme for this line was inspired by nature focusing in insects and flowers. For the color palette we looked again in the spring 2009 Pantone fashion color report for inspiration. The colors picked resembled the process colors CMYK which made them a perfect fit. Another perfect match was teaming up with Mode Salon and their talented staff for amazing hair and Leanna Curry and Megan Thomley for their kick-ass make-up. The show featured Indigo Denim Co for Jeans and six of their own looks. The team at Indigo was extremely supportive and professional. All parties worked seamlessly backstage with the leadership of Tiffany, BobbyK and Veena. The team was a match made in heaven! The 1oz show was a huge team effort with talented and wonderful people behind it. Albey sends huge thank you’s and love to all of you.

Adfed of Gainesville celebrated the 2009 Addy Award Gala this past Friday. These awards honor the best in local advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. Awarded by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY® Awards are the nation's largest advertising competition — over 60,000 entries. Local entries are judged by a distinguished panel of advertising creatives from outside our market. Local winners proceed to the District and, potentially, to National competitions. 1st Show ACEL a Success!

As we blogged about a few weeks ago, neutral7 was the first host of Show ACEL, a new ACEL program that brings people into an ACEL members business or industry and educates them on a topic relevant to that business or industry. This is a great opportunity for our members to learn something new and support their fellow members!

The first event was held January 28th at neutral 7. We educated attendees about the difference between file formats, vector vs. raster, file resolution vs. print quality, how things are printed on our large format printer, and then plotted, masked etc. Visitors were able to ask questions, see printed examples, see how items were created and take home a cool ACEL sticker created for the event!

The turnout was great! We had nearly 30 people all packed into our conference room, and then into our print room! Guests were able to visit and mingle after the presentation and talk one on one with our staff.
Overall, it was a great success and we were very happy with the outcome! Keep posted for future events!

On Friday Jan, 23rd Jerry of the infamous Ben & Jerry's visited the Archer Road location of the Ben & Jerry's/Bourbon St. Coffee Shop in Gainesville! The turn out was fantastic, and everyone got to take a picture with Jerry!

Since we planned to go and meet him, we thought it would be fun do bring a little momento for him to sign. What would be better than having an ice cream flavor named after you! So, our fantastic designer Javier whipped up the design for this great neutral7 chip pint and our production team churned it out faster than you could say Chunky Monkey! *note that the little "chips" in the ice cream are the neutral7 logo!*

Jerry seemed to think it was pretty cool too!

neutral7 unveils the identity design for the upcoming event: Gainesville Fashion Week 2009. The chosen design was one of 3 final designs. We decided to give the identity a fresh and modern look without getting into an “ultra-trendy” design. GFW will be a series of events in multiple venues throughout Gainesville showcasing different designers with multiple points of views and styles. One of our goals was to keep the design borderline neutral in order to make it fit within the different shows and events but still make it strong enough to stand by itself. The color palette was directly inspired by the spring 2009 Pantone fashion color report. This is the first step for the first phase of marketing materials for the upcoming event.
